Transaxle Question..../and theory question
Hows it goen,
for a fwd transaxle, are there two filler holes? one for the trans, one for the differential?
Reason im askin, im workin on a senior project for school, we are made a three wheel utility vehicle outta a pickup and motorcycle.... we are usen a fwd 5 spd transaxle. We entered this design contest, so specs and things we used dont normally go together.
We had it out runnin the other day, when the f'en trans seems to have posi'ed itself, is there anyway that oil in the trans wouldnt get to the differential part of the transaxle? If the oil level was low ... would this heat heat up the diff gears?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but any ideas would be appreciated.

Holy crap.
You put MTF in the Tranny and Diff fluid in the bell housing right? THat is what you need to do. Honda diffs are lubed from the inside so you don't need to add diff fluid to it. Just MTF.
But you need to add diff fluid to the bell housing your using.
