I have a GS-R tranny from a 97 gsr that has an oem lsd. the problem is the synchros between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd are shot and the local tranny shop wants $1500 to "fix" the tranny. With that said i also have a 94 LS tranny that i am currently using and would actually love to have the LSD and final drive from the gsr. Is this possible or is it going to be some ridiculious price or hassle then what its really worth? By the way you can get Type-R trannies brand new for $1700

 

you can buy a quaife LSD and install it into the LS tranny.........


OR for less than half the price you can buy a OBX LSD that will probably work the same at the quaife.

 

what about the final drive though? im more worried about that then the lsd. i mean lsd is nice but as i said if i can take the final drive and use it then i would definitely be able to use the lsd.
