i need a new transmission for my car, and was wondering which tranny works well with the car. i know i can get another si tranny, but how does the itr or gsr tranny works with the b16 engine? would it be better for me to just pick up another si tranny or go with another one? how would the ls/gs integra transmisson work with the car? i was quoted $1100 for a si tranny, but just wanted to check what other options there are for me to consider. my car just have the basic bolt ons.

keep your stock transmission. you may want to get a different final drive and maybe a lsd. until your transmission goes bad don't swap it out.

 

its bad, thats why i need a new transmission. but i know that i could use a ls/gs, gsr, itr, or si tranny. i just wanted to know if these other transmissions would work okay with the b16 engine. i know the itr and gsr tranny will most likely be more expensive than a si one. i was thinking that the ls/gs tranny will be the cheapest out of the bunch. i just mainly wanted to see the pros and cons. like which will make the car slower or faster or will it be about the same as it was with the si tranny. checking because i probably will have to order it before the end of the week as i need my car for transportation.

 

well i decided to just go with the si tranny, but need some good sites to find one at a good price. its doesn't have to be new. or if anyone knows someone selling one let me know.

 

the 99 si and itr tranny would be the best to get for na since the have the shortest gearing, the itr one has an lsd though.
All b-series tranny's are interchangeable as long as it is hydro.
$1100 for a s4c is a robbery, search the classifies here; you'll find good stuff. for $1100 you can get an itr tranny...
