Default Tranny problems

I have a 97 hatch that my second gear has been slipping out in. Is this the tranny or could it be something else. I was possible thinking maybe the syncro or throw out bearing? If it is the throw out bearing can I replace it with a throw out bearing from a 90 crx si. The motor was a da6?
