after a long trip about 2hrs my transmission started acting funny. its hard to shift and get it into gear i have to pull real hard.theres also a ticking noise from the engine compartment, the car is a 96 teg ls 86,000k. plz help.

 

TTT...PLZ, i did a search and was unsure of the things I found...also its a manual tranny. HALP!!

 

maybe change out the fluid and see if any metal comes out with it. other than that i dont know what to tell you. My tranny just did that, and would barely go into gear, but mine was accompanied by the sounds of metal on metal clunking noises in the tranny. Im sure mine is toast, so im swapping motors.
