Default tranny help

I have a problem with a tranny 00 GSR. I recently had a lsd installed into the transsmission. The problem is that when I am driving and put it in neutral it is real hard to put it into 2 and 1 gear. It olny want to go in when it almost stopped. Also sometimes when i put in neutral and the rpm drops to idle it is real hard to put in any gear. Any one have any ides? Bad installations?

Sounds similar to the problems I had with my LS last summer. It had a shot throwout bearing. How old is the clutch?

they may have not shimmed the carrier correctly. either that or possibly damaged a shift fork.

Happen to know if they stuck with the tapered bearings or switched to the newer solid bearings when they switched differentials?

Well the stock bearings are tapered, and it's recommended that you go with solid bearings. I did my differential without much trouble, but I switched bearings and then had to order the proper shims as turbohondask suggested. Sounds like it's going to have to come back out to be inspected at any rate. Did it work alright for awhile after the differential was swapped?

It's really difficult to say, but both the counter and main shafts must be removed to swap out the differential. Perhaps they bent a shift fork or goofed something else up. It seems extremely unlikely it's anything other than an internal tranny part though.
