the silvery circular part to the top right of the ring gear...what is that, where does it go? just wanna make sure i dont forget anything when i put together my tranny

from left to right:
collar
ring gear
first gear
split needle bearing
split needle bearing
friction dampener
pinion

Honda transmissions use two friction dampeners. One for first gear and one for second gear.

They sit in the inner bore of first and second gear and interlock with the synchro hub.

the one pictured that you are wondering about goes in the top end of 1st gear.
