Default TPS keeps going bad

I have a 92 hatch with a B18B I have a 68mm Skunk 2 throttle body and i keep blowing out the tps. I've gont through about 4. I've called every where and nobody makes an aftermarket sensor. Can the bigger throttle body make it go bad? I calibrated it every time to .3 volts and I have a SAFCll and the throttle reading is always 0-100% perfect every time, then random it reads crazy then doesn't read at all. Then the car runs like ****. Any info will be greatley appriceated.

sounds like you have a wiring issue to sort out.

i can pretty much agree with this guy.
chances are, your wiring is f'd.
i'm a firm supporter of OEM parts, especially those with NON-adjustable sensors like the throttle body.. but i realize this is honda-tech and everyone wants that +2hp and risk runnability problems down the road.

anyway, i would suggest that your TPS is calibrated PERFECTLY, and make sure the throttle body operates fine. maybe it's a bad spring on the linkage? maybe you have your cable adjusted too tight? i don't know.

if all checks out fine, you need to do more diag.

is the car OBD2? if so, look at the freeze data.
did you follow the diag procedure outlined in the manual?(voltage measurement, etc)

but honestly, i think if you keep FRYING tps sensors, i think you might have a short or open in the circuit. good luck.

ps- just buy a stock ITR throttle body and be done with your diagnosis.

Will I be able to just bolt up the itr throttle body and be fine or do I have to worry about re doing any thing?

why dont try a stock throttle body if you can, and then see if it still runs like sh-- and if it does you have a wiring issue, but i think you have a wiring issue is the engine harness stock or was it modified in any way
