If you want to do things the "right" way, you'll always use a torque wrench when tightening any bolt on your car.

well i can see how that was a silly question of mine, on that note I'll just say thanks...

Oh in chiltons repair guide or similar book would they have the flbs per bolt? or is it more of a figure it out type of thing?

I would suggest the hems manual. That one is the most in depth and complete manual and yes it does have the torque specs in there.

You got that right I just tightened it down. hehehehe but for my rear lower bar I torqued that one because I just wanted to be safe. I will torque everything else because I want to be safe rather than sorry later, and I like to know that I won't lose something while I am driving.

You can wing a strut bar but for soft metals like your cylinder head or suspension parts you really should use one. I bought a cheap one from Pep Boys for $19.99, it works. But $59.99 to $79.99 is what your going to pay for a brand name one like Craftsman.

I would go with a torque wrench. I was surprised how low some of the torque spec's are on a sway bar install. On the Comptech 17ft/lbs is all some bolts get.

FYI- I picked up a torque wrench from Home Depot for under $60
