Default Torque Setting numbers for B18C1 power steering brackets?

Can someone please let me know what the torque settings are for the four bolts that fix the power steering brackets to the engine? Thanks in advance

A nice good impact gun, big ratchet tight..

Seriously, I've never worried about torque numbers for that set of brackets.

Wonderful!! I had an entire book with all torque specs for everything, but never used it for the main brackets... Boy, you learn something new everyday.
Thank you, sir

Pro tip: Make sure you use some anti-seize on all of those bolts anywhere a bracket bolts to your block. It will save you a headache sooner or later.

Unfortunately, doing so will completely ruin the desired torque specification.

Personally,Id forgo the torque specs in this case and use a dab of anti-sieze and just tighten the bolts "good" enough.

Just for added clarity...

Please don't take my statements below personally, they are just to remove interpretation challenges and provide a concise method.

"good enough" should not be greater than 1/4 turn past bolt becoming flush and beginning resistance (snug).

Ambiguous statements like "good enough" can be detrimental as it's open for interpretation and everyone's "good enough" will be different.

If my suggested method is inaccurate or unadvisable, please do critique.

Well, suggesting the use of anti-seize becomes a slippery slope. It is technically not recommended, because it will alter the friction characteristics of the bolt and thread interaction and cause it to be over tightened.

However I understand the reasoning behind the suggestion and agree with it. Once you go there, though, you can no longer give accurate technical directions. I intentionally put good enough in parenthesis assuming that those that are reading this will comprehend the ambiguity of the term, and use their best judgement.

Since most on this site are fairly seasoned DIYers, I feel like they would know what "good enough" is for them.

I would think even with the friction coefficient being thrown out the window from the anti-sieze, the old school 1/4 turn method should still be extremely effective as it's not based on torque measurements and never was. As well as be a specific, consistent method.

Then again, I've spent most of my time reading and moderating in the 92-00 section.... I've seen plenty of DIY'ers there that fall far from your description. i.e. W95.....

Sure. I can get behind this suggestion

LoL,imagine the mess some of these people make.

Now imagine that you have to correct and repair that mess in real life.

I feel for you.... Really I do.

AND you come here and help people.... You my friend are borderline a saint or totally off your rocker. Not sure which.
