Default Tornado?

http://www.tornadofuelsaver.com

I was really stoned last night sitting on the couch munching on a pizza when I saw the infomercial for this, at first i was like "Yeah, whatever" but then they dynoed some car (didn't show the car but it had a V8 in it) and it gaind 20 HP! I still think it's gimmicky cause who knows what they could have done to the car but what do you guys think?

Sport Compact Car did an article on that last year. I didn't read it myself, but I heard that it is indeed a POS.

If it were that great I would think K&N, AEM, Comptech, Mugen, and all the other parts makers would have their own version.

Look at the Dyno results..their from mid 80's and early 90's US vehicles with large motors. Any kind of air flow improvement on a shitty dodge would work..hell stick some exhaust duct work from Home Depot from a washer/dryer and ur Caravan gots ram air. Hehe

The Tornado sucks the money from your wallet. This then lightens the weight of the vehicle, improving hp/weight ratio. Simple economics really.

Hey I actually did that about 2 years ago make my own ram air out of that ducting and it worked pretty good on my d16y8. Until it cracked from the air hitting it. haha

yeah, that pos was on an impala with an k and n. not sure if they had the k and n on during the base run. but yeah, i have the scc issue with that pos. i believe they did the test down here at a jr college (cuyamaca). and before and after yielded the same results on the dyno. no less or gain. but a gain for them, because THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.

I think I remember Car&Driver doing a test with that on one of their long-term cars. It made the car .1 second slower to 60 and through the 1/4 mile.

I believe that comment is somewhat understated.
