you can get a special valve adjustment tool from snap on for honda. I think you can get them from any honda dealerships parts department.

just get a feeler gauge and if u got a dohcvtec u can heat up a wrench and bend it at to a 90 degree angle to tighten and hold the nut . works good and very cheap

This tool is actually made by Schley Tool Co. They make all kinds of speciality tools like this including one that fits inside of the Honda harmonic balancer and holds it tight so you can unfasten the center bolt. Most tool trucks (Mac, Matco, Snap-on, etc.) carry the Schley tools or search on the net.
