Default tools needed for extended wheel studs?

can somebody tell me what tools im going to need to tackle my next job? im doing extended wheel studs on my 99 civc ex coupe and just wanted to know before i start. i heard you need a press? is this true? also please tell me if this if more of a DIY job or should i wait till i have a good amount of time so i can get to a press? any help?

you will need a press. your gonna have to press the hub apart to remove the wheel studs. Sometimes you even need the press to push the studs out, or you can beat them To put them in, I usually just put the studs in, oil them a little, put some washers on it and crank them tight with a lug nut to pull them the whole way. Then put the hub part together

you dont HAVE to havea press. use a sledge, and then bring the new ones on with lug nuts and an impact

i dunno about you, but last time i changed mine, i needed to take the hub apart which i needed a press to do.

you dont necessarily need a press to get the job done, but it will make it hell of alot easier w/ one. by the time you're hammering away the hub to knock it off you'll be saving yourself alot of time just having it pressed out. took me about 1hr before hammering my hub in. once i got it done, it was all screwed up...had to buy new ones and replace them again. but the second time, i paid a shop to press it in for me.

its a shop press. but you can implement a slide ammer, or an air impact gun
