i never heard this until some post yesterday, but someone said that leaving your car sitting at idle RPM's is bad for the engine. Can anyone verify or disprove this, and with a good explanation? I sit with my car idle all the time when I'm waiting for people, cuz I wanna listen to tunes and I'm always afraid if I leave the stereo on and turn off the ignition...I won't have enough power to start the engine again
(i swear i'm not being stupid, it's happened before)

Unless you have a crappy cooling system, I don't see why it would be bad for you too leave your engine idling for a reasonable amount of time. I mean if you are going to be waiting for 30 min or so, I would turn the car off and save my gas.
