Default Toda springs/retainers?

I didn't notice that Toda is selling any specific retainers to go along with thier valve springs with EGG technology. What retainers are recomended. Seems like another manufactures retainers would not work with the oblong shape of Toda's new springs? Ay thoughts on this?

ohoh... sounds like a JUN vs whatever you get... it's on tough guy!!!! I guess I should have said SK2 for you.... where's Sergio?? he needs in on the fun too!

It appears that you can use brand X retainers, but I'd just get Toda retainers like we talked about... though JUN is just as expensive if not less.... sucka!

Still confused as to how a round retainer fits an oblong shaped spring?

From what I understand and have seen only the inner springs are Egg Shaped.... So any retainer you decide to go with should work out.

i heard from rocket (i think) that the best retainers for a daily driven car is stock, cuz titanium has some aluminum properties and they get worn out making the valve lash bigger, the only thing different between titanium ones and the stock is weight, i'm not sure about all this, i just remember it from a thread where rocket told this, so do a search, i think it was the thread for the new cams he is promoting. go and look for it.

hope it helps
