TODA SPEC C's or Skunk2 Stage III's
I'm looking to run either the TODA SPEC C's or Skunk2 STAGE III cams.
what results (power wise) have people seen (B16 or B18) from either cams?
which cams put down more power?
let me know what you guys think...
AND YES it IS FOR A PURPOSE Built RACECAR...NOT a daily driver. So idle characteristics does NOT matter (it doesn't even need to idle)....
Hopefully with enough funding (about $100k for the entire '03 season), I'll be running in the (SPEED) Touring Car Series for '03....if I don't come up with the $$$ then I'll have to run NASA's US Touring Car for '03. In order to be in contention for (SPEED) Touring Car Rookie Of The Year, I have to race the whole season. Since driver's are allocated a certain number of races before they lose their rookie status, I have to have be certain to have enough $$$ for the ENTIRE season....we'll see.
BUT I need to hurry and decide which set-up (cams) to use. Skunk Stage3's are already approved for the series. If I go with Toda Spec C's, then I'm going to have to get them "approved" to use by each series.
If I had the money, I would opt for a full testing program to see which set-up works the best for track use (test the car with Skunk Stage 3 cams in both B16 and B18 engines at the respected minimum weight, then test the Toda Spec C's in both B16 and B18 engines as well), but that money used for testing is going to needed to fund the '03 season.
hopefully you can sorta understand my "issue"
thx in advance

they both have super shitty idle.... If I had just a track car I'd go Toda... for the street I think I'd go for either JUN or Hondasaver.....
