"Toda Killer" right? let me know when your first set breaks in half or shatters into pieces. Toda makes the best cams because of the quality, not just performance.

Cool. I respect everyone's opinion.

Production cams will be CNC'd from heat treated 8620 steel bars and nitrided. Toda's can't match that.

Will do. Pricing will be reasonable. Either Web or HondaSaver springs will be necessary.

I respect your opinions but at least give Rocket a chance to get some solid info first. You didn't have more than a photo before stating that. back to you

Rocket, I as well as many other H-T members will be interested in these please keep us updated.

I am no expert , but I have heard that TODA Cams are made from OEM Honda (unground) Units into Todas specification. And Honda cams have a "Porus" material Like miniture Orangepeal like finish and that retains oil well for smoother operation/long life over most aftermarket cams. Do yours start from honda unground blanks?

I have to say that anything Rocket markets to the people of Honda-Tech is some high quality stuff. I have a set of his cams. They are regrinds and are gorgeous! The quality is spectacular and his pricing is easily the best. Also, when he said I'd have them, they were at my doorstep. I think it is obvious from his many informative posts and awesome group buys, that Rocket and Honda Saver are in this sport for the long haul and are real enthusiasts. I hope to have some dyno sheets up for his cams soon. Thanks again, Martin!

It would be my first choice to use Honda OEM blanks since they are the quality I am looking for. Honda cams are nitrided and this provides the porisity you are talking about. There are different ways to get porisity from either nitriding or parkerizing or using a certain type of base metal.

So my next best choice is to CNC lathe my own blanks. The Crower ones that I now use for my prototypes are pretty crude and look like they are made in China or something.

Anyways, this is post is not meant to flame Toda, but you can run much more extreme profiles than what is mainstrean. Fast cam ramps is what it is all about. NHRA guys run cams so god damn aggressive that they have to check their thousand dollars springs EVERY pass. Springs used in NASCAR are shot after 500 miles. It's no secret that fast ramps give you performance. That's waht I intend to do.

Doesn't matter where the lobes are. Using just the outers lets you be a little more agressive but it will not be able to idle too well.

I noticed in the first pic, your cams, that the larger lobe hase a "curve" from the base to the lobe. i.e. it is not flat, like other cams. What does this accomplish?

False, Toda uses their own blanks.

Rocket: Specs? Price?

From the looks of it, those cams wont offer the same midrange that toda has.

That's basically slam the valve open (fast ramp). The slope on the stock is a more progressive ramp.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Toda cams have equal width lobes, stock Hondas don't.

Good point SGT. Actually it doesn't have that much duration. Duration at 1mm lash is around 255 degrees. I will also offer a baby version of this too for less radical set-ups.

Pricing will be around $800 for final production steel cams.

doesnt the VTEC KILLER cams from TODA allow you to remove the lost motion assemblies that are otherwise required for vtec cams? -->removing these assemblies frees up a bit of power...

Ok, that was a little rough, my apologies. But I just find it kind of arrogant for someone to come right out and say "Toda killer", etc. Toda knows their ****, they use CATIA do design their cams and that's a super high dollar CAD system.

Plus their material property is the best out there, but this guy comes out says Toda's material don't even compare to his. Just kind of arrogant I think. It's like Hyundai coming out and saying "BMW Killer" or something to that affect.

How is that any different than you bashing his product while knowing nothing about it?

Rocket .. a big for getting the cams out. I was talking to you about this 1 or 2 months ago for the H22. I was also telling you what I thought of (and my experience with ) the Crower Cams.

Anyway, I hope you cut some cams for the H22. As I was telling you back then, I am interested in getting some (especially if you could duplicate some of the current aftermarket grinds). Let me know or I'll check with you sometime shortly.
