Default Tire Selection!

I figured that this would be the place to come since you guys test many different tires on the track.

Ok so right now my car has 15" Flaken Ziex tires. It is daily driven and not tracked b/c I am in college.

My question is this: I am going to be in need of new tires soon and am wondering what to go with. I do not want to go with azenis due to its wear/rain quailty(rains alot in Tallahassee, FL), so I am leanning towards getting the same tires, but upgrading the size from 195 to 205/50/15.

What do you guys think and will they fit fine with my car being lowered.(fender 1/2in from tires, if that)

*Bold words are the important stuff for you lazy guys

Cool Ill do a quick search on them.

So I shouldnt stay with the ziex then? I thought they seemed pretty good. They have lasted a long time too.

check out tirerack.com

they have a good rating on the tires on a 1 to 10 scale on warranty , dry weather, wet...etc.

the prices arent too bad either.

how did you like your falken ziex?

i got them a few months ago but i havent been able to drive my car still.

i got them for 30 a piece.

if you liked them they do make them in 205 50 15 thats the size i have.

Yea see I liked the ziex tires, but I think mine are older ones that have been discontinued.......However, they have lasted me a long time and have had an average grip in both wet/dry weathers alike.

Any other thoughts about switching guys?

which ones did you have the 502 ?

they got discontinued and replaced with the 512's basically the same , mildly changed the tread design.

Yea I had the 502's. So should I just stick with the ziex and go with the 512's if I liked the 502's?
