Default Timing Issues on Hybrid motor

Im trying to time my car, and having some difficulties, maybe you guys can help me out here.

Im using a B16A2 block, but im using an LS crank pulley since it has a built in rubber damper to hush any vibrations. I do NOT believe they are the same size, and thus it would be causing my timing woes. How can I get around this without resorting back to a non-dampened unit?

I suppose I could get the diameter of a stock B16 Crank pulley, compare to the diameter of an LS pulley, find the percentage of difference and adjust timing accordingly? Help would be appreciated.

Maybe this is all in my head and the pulleys are the same diameter.

As it sits, the timing reads 16 degrees with the distributor fully advanced to the firewall.

Your problem sounds like its on the actual timing mark on the oil pump gear the timing belt runs on,was it properly lined up with the tdc marks on the cam gears? Also the size of those is the same on the pulleys and the pulley even if different in size should not effect the timing as the woodruff key lines up the same with the mark for tdc on the crank end!

ahh, I see, perhaps the timing is off a tooth on the pump gear. I will have it checked out. In the meantime, is the timing truly set at 16 degrees, or is it merely READING 16 degrees and is actually more like 20 degrees BTDC?

your b16 and b18a/b pulleys are different size, but have the timing marks in the same place.
cam timing is off by a little, that's why you have to advance the dizzy all the way.

The actual timing belt is off by a tooth, you say? Or maybe the pump gear is off by a tooth? If so, is the actual ignition timing 16 degrees like it says, or is it much more advanced and is only reading 16 degrees due to the incorrect cam timing.

I just want to be perfectly sure about this subject, sorry for the noobish demeanor.
