Default timing gear keyway/key problem please look

ok so my crank pully is messed up, not sure why or how but its being replaced. aftertaking that off i noticed that my crank keyway has some room in it, as in the locator pin is too small, i can actually fit an allen wrench next to the key while the pin is in and its on the crank. its hard to see in the pic but the dark area is what im talking about, there is a gap between the locator key and the side of the crank/gear. let me know what you think about this and to what extent of damage there could be.

ps im also having a hard time getting the timing gear off, any ideas?

one more question. is the b18a crank timing gear one piece? i mean does it have a locator pin that is removable or is it all one piece with a built in pin? tnx

EDIT: NM i found out by reading someone else's horror story of a similar thing happening, i consider myself lucky that i found this before it sheerd off causing really bad problems. anyone know where to get a new timing gear? tnx

u should get all the oil and greese out of the timing chain cover area. use some degreaser and what ever part u take off clean it well. i changed my timing belt and waterpump and clean every single part. looks clean
