Default timing belt tension

can anyone tell me the correct timing belt tension and the way to go about doing it?

well you get everything lined up with the tensioner loose, crank it about 1/2 turn, and then tighten tensioner.

There shouldn;t be much slack, and it shouldn't be TIGHT. You shoudl be able to tell what it's supposed to be just by feel.

rule of thumb I'd give it a 1" deflection for the belt.
