timing belt question
my bud just swapped a jdm h22 into his 92 prelude. he only had it running for a few weeks and he fucked up his clutch. fixed it then he had it running for a few days and his timing belt grenaded. it just shredded and fell apart.why would it do that?
and someone told me that normally its a good idea to replace the timing belt on a swap when you first get it? is that true?
is it safer that way?
thank you.

I've broken two. Fixed the bent valves. Bought another honda, planned to change it, it broke before i got to it. Changed some more bent valves. Did a swap and this time i changed it before start-up. It's always a wise decision to change the timing belt belt and water pump whenever you get a new motor/honda.
