Ok im changing my tbelt and tensioner and ive run into a snag.

this is from c-speed's install for a timing belt


i dont have a mark like that.
i have a dot made by a green marker, and 2 small notches on the outside of the crank gear about 1/5 of an inch apart.

if i line up the mark on the oil pump with the green dot then put the crank pulley on, it dosent line match the mark on the lower timing belt cover.

im so confused...
oh duh, second gen b16 engine.

im a dumbass.
forgot to remove the little cover for the gear.

damn i feel stupid lol.

 

ha ha... you got it. go drink a beer. that always helps. but sometimes you have parts left over. although they say if you dont have parts left over, you didnt do it right. oh well

well the engine is out of the car with no transmission, im probably gonna have some parts left over when i done
but for now it looks like i have everything...so far.. hehehe
