Default timing belt failure

i know your supposed to change your timing belt every 60,000 but how often has anyone ever heard of them going i was just wondering cause i have 125,000 miles on my gsr and i dont know when it was last changed

I take it that you are not the original owner. You could run a carfax report on your car to see what repairs were done to it.
