Default Throwing codes, but are they correct?

My car has been stumbling and having hard start issues all summer. Finally this week I get my hands on a P2T ecu, ran that and pulled 1 code.

Vehicle - 2000 Civic Si
Engine - B18C JDM 96-97 Type R
ECU's - P2T 99-00 SI, JDM 96-97 ITR

The code I got was for the crank position sensor, but the JDM ECU I usually run never threw this code. Is the USDM ECU looking for a crank position sensor down by the crank shaft and because the JDM motor doesn't have it, it is throwing the code?

I'm hoping the USDM B16a2 is similar to the JDM B18C and that this is my problem because I've been chasing it all summer and haven't gotten to autox or anything this year.

obd ecus look for the crank position sensor thats located by the oil pump. The jdm motor is not equipped with that separate crank sensor
