Default Throwing a code after ignition install. Help!

Just installed a accel 300+ ignition system with external coil and all that. Runs great but occasionally the CEL comes on. It is throwing a code 9. Has anyone seen this before or know what is going on? I have switched the ignition system back and forth and it doesn't throw a code unless the aftermarket ignition is hooked up.

If your car is OBD1 then cel code 9 is # 1 Cylinder Position. Hope this will help some.

It's a 94 GSR so it is OBD1. Does this indicate a bad distributor? I have an idle prob that I am trying to work out also and it only throws the code if the rpms drop really low to the point where the car almost dies. Doesn't throw any codes with the factory ignition though.

I dont know much about accel ignitions (they might not be any different)...but if you dont have any codes with stock ignition then it has to be something with the aftermarket one...
