throttle body question
when my car sits at a idle it will be at 15-11 hundred, but if i pop my hood, and press on the wheel of the throttle body, i can get it to drop down to 900, were it should be, when i droppped my motor in we broke the tps sensor so i had to take one off of a gsr, and im thinking that maybe i have it a little to far forward and its thinking there is a little bit of pressure on the gas, i know its not the cable, and there is also a small chance its a vacuum prob. but i was wondering of anyone has had a prob where they replaced their tps sensor, and it idle'd a litte high.
With all the fun I've had with tps's they've never really set my idle out of wack.
I would DEFINITELY check all your vacuum hoses and such before you mess with the TPS... if it IS the tps then you will need a voltmeter and will have to check the current at closed and WOT.

yeah the reason i say it could be a vacuum, is with the usdm r motor the intake mani had a fat line for the vacuum, and the jdm had a very tiny line, and on the usdm the throttle body didnt have a vacuum line and the jdm had a vacuum line coming off of it so i had to tee the 2 lines together and use the fat line coming off of the charcoal box with a piece of thinner line in it so it would fit on the tee, an i havent put clamps on all the lines yet so to you can hear a slight leak in the tee
