Throttle body question; need help
I'm buying a HOLLEY brand TB from someone that is 1X68MM. I have a SKUNK2 IM, and was wondering if it will bolt up to it? Also, has anyone heard of idleing problems with these units? Should I have it port matched? By the way, I'm using it w/ I/H/E, ITR cams and valvetrain, race cat., and a P28 HONDATA system.
don't have experience with that brand but if the opening in the tb is less than the mouth of the im, what good is the larger size, so yes it should be portmatched. many of the larger tb's have a problem with plate sticking (like many of the jg ones)...what advantage are you looking for above say an itr tb?
Plotting for FI down the road. I've heard that lots of people use 64-68MM TB's for forced induction applications. Besides, I got a great deal on the TB; $85.
I just want to make sure the TB won't hurt me. I want it to fit in well with me setup as well as future installments. I'm planning on a turbo this fall..... Should I stick to a 62-64MM TB? I don't know, thats why I'm counting on your guys experiences.
