Default Think my LSD is out

I had to change an axle today and when I was tightening back down the lug nutz, one wheel was in the air and the other was on the ground, the tire kept spinning around, I thought maybe i had the car jacked up so much that both tires were off the ground but they weren't, only one tire was up and the wheel was just spinning freely, I am guessing that my LSD must have given out, unless it disengages when in nuetral (doubt it). Please tell me that I am mistaken.

Also, i almost kicked my damn door in today...my freakin door/seat belt chime goes off CONSTANTLY, its because there is a TINY little bit of play in the door and whenver i hit a bump or go around a turn the seat belt/door chime and lights go off and stay on til i open and close the door. Its freakin anoing as hell. I taped that one sensor that slides back and forth down but that only fixed the "door ajar" light or whatever, I cant find the other door sensor ANYWHERE!!! If anyone knows how to cure this little problem please let me konw, ive looked everywhere for a wire or something that goes to that sensor but its nowhere to be found. by the way i have tried tightening the door hinge thingy but its as far over as it will go

Thanks All

really? no fucken way????? thats the best damn news Ive heard in a long *** time.....so how does that damn thing work then if you can just spin one wheel around, kinda seems like its not doin its job real well if it allows one wheel to spin independently with minimal pressure. I mean, im not talkin about pushing really hard and wheel spinning slowly, Im talking about i couldnt even get the torque wrench to click at 75 lbs because the wheel could spin so easily, i could spin it with my bar hands on the tire....THAT is normal? wierd

uhh i guess you have an open diff then. saying stock LSD is misleading, if you have a stock DIFFERENTIAL then this is normal. an LSD is just a type of performance diff.

also- the wheels gonna spin as long as you dont have the front brakes engaged, it would be pretty hard to get 75 ft lbs on a free spinning wheel, if you have your car up on a lift you can spin the wheels very easily (unless your wheel bearing is toast or somthing)

SHEW...ok yes I have the stock LSD that comes with the Y1 trannies, i got lucky, it is clearly stamped LSD on the top of the tranny and you can see right through the differential (on hte normal ones you can't). thats great news...i was ready to sell this thing when I started thinking the LSD was out, haha. thanks for the update guys, i'll post somewhere else about the door chime thingy....jesus what a pain in the *** this car has been, so much damn fun though.
