Thermostat
I do not know how to tell if it's bad off the top of my head. I would need to look at some books.

But you can find the thermostat if you follow the top cooling tube to where it attaches to the engine. I believe there are three bolts holding the case in position. Once you remove that, you will see the thermostat.
Be forewarned that if you do open it, there will be coolant rushing out.

As far as I know there is no way to tell if it's bad just by looking at it, but there are other signs. If your car overheats you could have a bad thermostat. If your car doesnt warm up at all and your heat doesnt owrk very well, that can also be your thermostat. Let us know if you are having either one of those problems. Later!
