thermal exhaust wrap
i'm gonna be do a thermal wrap on my headers, but the only thing that is bugging me is because i drive me car year round and so i do drive thru snow at times. will the thermal wrap soak in the water and salt from the roads and eventually over time corode my header faster? is it better not to wrap it
I wrapped my old turbo manifold with that stuff and never had a problem.. It never was wet when I checked it, I think that if water does get on it its just going to burn off since the header is hot..
depends but if its a stainless steel header I would say your alright. I have mine wrap and although I don't drive it year round I don't have any problems with it.
yeah i got a 1 piece stainless. it's new so i don't wanna mess it up by wrapping it and then having salt water over time coroading it
