Theory: A new breed of intercooler...
Ever seen the stealth bomber?
Half the reason it works is because they were able to design the exhaust to cool down immensely before it is released outside...
So: How did they do it? And can that same technology be put on a car?

The whole idea of an intercooler is to cool incoming air, not outgoing.
Cooling your exhaust gases would only result in decreased flow

Obviosly there is no point to cool your exhaust gases...
BUT: Cooling your "boost" wouldn't be such a bad idea right? I'd think it could use the same technology...

they cool the exhaust by, in part, mixing it with the outside air, the objective is to reduce the IR signature of the aircraft. it is, in a sense an "intercooler" applying ambient air temperatures to the exhaust. same as air-to-air IC.

Thank you sir.

im totally lost. are you asking if you could cool the air charge the same way the stealth cools its exhaust?
I think it helps they fly alot faster than any fan will draw or blow air, plus they are at altitudes where the air is cooler and denser. I think its just basically a glorified air to air cooler. Probably no more effective than an Air to liquid or water injection.

as far as the air being denser at higher altitudes? no, it is much thinner, cooler, yes , but thinner.
