Default Test pipe question

Alright my Cat and the secondary sensor are shot and I need a temporary replacement. Can I just put a test pipe on and disconnect the secondary o2 sensor and drive around normally? Would it effect my fuel economy? I know that my car will be louder, and I will have a CEL. I just need a cheap replacement so I can save up for a new OEM cat+sensor.

You could run the test pipe and just put a new o2 on the test pipe. And yes it will affect your fuel economy

I was thinking about getting a cheap test pipe off eBay and putting that on. But the ones I was looking at don't have a o2 sensor hole. Would I be to not hook up the o2 sensor and have the pipe on and drive the car normally, but have a cel. I just need a fast cheap fix.

You dont have to have the o2 but sometimes some cars run like **** without it.
