My temp gauge has been acting pretty weird i only goes up and stays on temp when the car is standing still but as i drive the temp drops.. Then today i was driving and the temp went up to 1/4 and it jumped around a little then it droped back down.. Also it started to leak some where around the top rad hose...i think its the thermostat but i have never seen it jump like that before

 

My car wasn't hitting vtec so i looked around in my engine bay for a little. scratched my head and realized that i had my vtec and ect plugs switched up does that have anything to do with the temp gauge

 

Well if you didn't have the ECT plugged up right I would suppose that would be why your temp gauge wasn't working properly.
