Technical about nitrous
I am looking at all options for tuning my ride and I looked into nitrous. Here are the things I know:
dry - sprayed somewhere in the intake
wet - injected into the fuel system, usually right before the FPR
direct port - a wet kit with fogger nozzle at each injector
purge kits - empty the lines of any air (more for wet kits, to keep from vapor locking?)
solenoids and actuators to open the system to spray into the motor.
There are a few parts that I have questions about. Do you have to use a wet shot with forced induction? Why do you want a warm nitrous tank? Why mount the bottle with the nozzle facing the front of the car and tilted up? What sort of air/fuel ratio is best with nitrous? What sort of gains do you see with an ntercooler spray on intercoolers? Is it better to have a WOT sensor to open the system, or an actuator button (fast and furious style)? Also, if any of my information is incorrect, feel free to correct me. TIA

u want to warm the tank to keep the bottle at the corect pressure
the bottle is tilted up withe the lable up so that the siphen tube is at the bottom
u will want a wot switch for activation and a window switch is definatly a good idea also.

if the car is bone stock.....you can use nitrous, just not very much and not often.
nitrous is an oxygenator. it provides your engine with more oxygen atoms than it can consume under normal ambient pressure. when you add more oxygen your air fuel ratio will lean out and temps will get really hot.
to solve this fuel is added to richen the mix and bring temps down.
when the a/f mix is safe each time you spray, you add power safely, this is achieved through tuning and not being a moron with a slippery trigger finger
a dry system is just plain nitrous sprayed about 3-5 inches before the throttle body on the intake. fuel must be added seperately to safely and effectively use this system.
a wet system uses 2 nozzles-1 spraying fuel and 1 spraying n2o. fuel is taken care of with the second nozzle and seperate management. i have put a nitrous express wet kit on a viper srt10 and the kit came with everything we needed, wire,solenoids, wot switch, brain, everything. we changed some stuff and sprayed n2o and propane................
dont worry about direct port right now, thats for BIG hp.
a purge solenoid alows you to vent the line and clear any air in the n2o line. this allows you to 1) spray a full charge of n2o when you hit the switch 2) flex big nuts at the dragstrip (cause treet racing is stupid and n2o is a HUGE no no on the roads cause its illegal
)nitrous can be used whenever you want if it is tuned properly. you do not have to use a wet kit on just fi. i would suggest a wet kit over a dry kit because you are taking care of the fuel and the kits sold are easy to install and easy to get tuned safely. much easier and better than strapping a nitrous line on the intake and sprayinng a 200 shot to blow your motor up 3 minutes later. the bottle is warmed to keep the pressure correct so that you get a proper spray. nitrous express kits have a relay that keeps the warmer at optimum pressure. you want the bottle tilted for the best flow of n2o out of the bottle. an intercooler sprayer is used to chill the intercooler on a turboed vehicle. if you dont have a turbo dont worry.
if you want a kit i would suggest a wet kit with a wot switch and a window switch.
if you havent modded anything on your car i would start there. i would think about what you want to use the car for????? is this to go drag racing or just to go fast whenever?????? also how are the brakes on your car? are they stock? they probably arent made to slow down a honda going way faster than it was made to go

thats the first thing that I did, was lower, strut brace, intake, exhaust, and upgraded the ignition. I don't plan on going direct port until I get forged internals, and after I put on a turbo. I mainly want to use the nitrous to run with the big boys at the track
. Other than that, I will run all throttle. I have been curious about nitrous, and wanted a wet kit, since wet and dry put out about the same, but the wet kit is a cleaner install.
