Default Tearing apart Tranny

I am going to be putting a Quaife LSD in next week and i was wondering what parts should be replaced when taking apart a tranny. With your guys experiences, what things Should i take an extra look at while everything is apart. Should i replace the bearings? The Tranny has 150k on it. Thanks for any help. -Corey

Always replace the differential bearings when droppin you LSD in.... I like to change syncros at the same time... It basically just depends on the condition of the tranny... You know if it scratches into any of the gears so you decide. I always check the actuator too.... I don't kno if you shift hard on it or if you've ever had any really hard misses but that is normally the first thing to bend... Let us know how it goes... Latez

it's good to replace all the oil seals and to replace the input bearing, since those usually go bad pretty fast.

how much would it be to replace the actuator? And how much extra work is involved in that?Sounds like that would help with smooth engagement. I haven't had any probs with the synco's but i will be sure to change the differential bearing's. Thanks for the help.

You know i don't really know for sure how much the actuator costs... when I have needed them in the past i just go to my collection from old bad trannies... hehe You can see in this pic here http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...D-SHIFT+HOLDER it is part 6 (the interlock) that normally gets bent. As you can see they say the list is $17.54 so you may expect a little more from the dealer. You normally don't have to worry about (piece, gearshift) getting bent because it's pretty strong (I haven't seen a bent one of those yet)... Anyways you'll be able to see if it is bent so replace if you think so... Latez
