where is this head from? and ls v swap? that is the oil return to the block which looks as if it has been tapted for ls/v. you should be able to just un thread that plug and put it back together.
if you didnt run the motor them the headgasket should still be good and like h22shtec said take the plug out the oil galley and then plug the hole that is tapped with the appropriate plug
Ya the motor was never ran it was just torqued first tio 22 then to 61. and it just sat and I just noticed the back of the head had the adapter for the oil line. I went ahead and took the head off, put in the original tap on the back of the head. But I tried to get the plug out of the head and I faild so I might take it to the machine shop and see if they can get it out. I dont want to strip it. Also I dont know if I can reuse the head gasket though. I bought another today but havent opened it. (because I can only return if its unopened)

as far as dowel pins, you maybe able to get away with it but i would never try to put a head on without dowel pins. there is a reason why they make them. makes sure everything lines up, stops head from sliding around
ya the angle I took it at was real sharp and it was outside and real bright out. It is a really smooth surface when I felt it too.
If you want i can ship it to you, I have no use for it. send me a little dough and Ill send it if you want
