Default Tap size for a B16A head bolt.

What size tap should I use to clean the head bolt hole for a B16A? I ran a 12x1.5 and now Im not so sure that it was the correct size. The bolt still fits snug if I thread it into the block though.

Seeing as the threads are 11mm by 1.5 I bet you had some resistance when cleaning the threads, now all you need is a custom set of head bolts or studs made.

Good news is you only did one, get it Timeserted instead of heli-coil, as they are not long enough.

Well Ive been doing some searching and supposedly they make longer Helicoils that will cover the whole thread of the bolt. Hopefully I can find them. Thanks.
