Default taking a step into the dark side

Ok so this question is sdirected ONLY to the mature knowledgeable experienced mechanics.

I'm thinking about buying a 454 4 bolt main and converting to 502 or 572 specs. What all is needed to convert? I know bore and hone n **** like that, but do I need to change cranks or rods? Any thing else like oil/fuel pumps or water pumps? What heads should I use? Oem 454 or a set of alu. Edelbrocs etc? It would be going into a 70's nova....for street

a quick search found me this (im not clowinging you i just looked on a few chevelle boards.
stock 454 crate b/s: 4.25 x 4.000
stock 572 crate b/s: 4.56 x 4.375

i am still looking for deck height specs, but just looked at the bore and had a brain fart. the difference between 4.250 and 4.560 is NOT 30 thou hahaa.....has been a long day. depending on the thickness of the walls, you are looking at a .310 over bore. most stroker kits for the 454 net 496 cid.

this is where i got my info from, it is a gmpp catalog.

hope that helps.
