I know Slowerthanu has done it...but I was wondering how many others have done it, and how much power could you gain from taking out the A/C?

I have. Not all that much power gained if you leave it off; the pulley rides on a clutch, so the compressor is not spinning all the time. The bigger reason to take it out is to reduce weight, the whole system is fairly heavy.
