.Tails
Like a tail from a horse or cat? Cause the horse tail is hair where the cat is muscle and fur. I would say a cat tail would help cause it would help you with balance while you are turning. A horse tail would fly wildly in the wind and would only be for looks. Have fun trying to bolt that cat tail up to your bumper.

There are many examples of rear wings that are quite useful on front drive cars. For example, the OEM rear wing on the USDM DC2 ITR served to smooth out the air flow behind the car.
What happens when you're driving at high speeds is that a zone of turbulent air forms just behind the car, usually in height somewhere between the roof line and the top of the trunk or hatch.
This turbulent air zone serves to lift on the rear of the car, and the faster you go the more this tends to happen.
The rear wing reduces this tendency to lift the rear of the car.
This is very important for straight line stability at very high speeds, it helps the rear end keep traction in high speed corners, and it helps keep the nose up in threshold braking that begins at very high speeds.
