tach and speedo problem

tach and speedo problem
i have a 99 civic hatch DX, with a GSR swap and it has a type R gauge cluster, the fuel and temp gauge work but the tach and speedo don't now the kid before me that had it said everything use to work. i tryed playing with the switch that connects to the tranny and nothing happens. can anyone help me out??????
