Default tach pulse count per rev

I was just wonder how many pulses are sent to the ECU per engine rev? I was thinking of making a little AVC-R for a school project with a basic STAMP processor...

In 360 degrees of rotation there are 2 ignition cycles. The tach usually counts the amount of sparks. I think 1 revolution is 2 pulses.
