Default tach problem

I posted this in the EG forum but only got one response...

I have a '92 dx hatch. I swaped my instrument cluster out for one with a tach when I did my GSR swap. This was about 5 months ago and everything worked fine till today. I noticed the tach is sluggish. It's not keeping up with the motor. If I rev slowly it acts like its in a bind till 3k then it jumps and moves smooth while in the higher revs. Any idea what's going on? The weather got cooler this week so I wonder if it could be needing some lube. If not I can only guess it could be a dirty connection in a harness. Anyone else have this?

Default Re: tach problem (fred97gle)

i think the tach is for RPMs?

it is all electronic, so no lube necessary.

check hte wiring at the distributor and dash cluster for damage...
