Switch Transmission Output Direction?
Hi,
I'm in well over my head building an off-road only vehicle, using an engine and transmission from a Honda Pilot. I had originally built the frame for a mid-engine RWD configuration, however now I am really wishing I had gone for AWD.
Currently the engine is facing the same way it was in the Pilot, with engine behind the driver, and the AWD prop-shaft facing towards the rear of the vehicle. Is there ANY way I can flip the engine & transmission so the prop shaft is facing towards the front of the vehicle, and switch the output of the transmission so that it rotates in the correct direction (reverse of what it is now)? I would be willing to pay a decent amount to have a custom final drive gear machined if that's all I would need.
Thanks
