suspension question
ok as seen in the pics one of my shocks i just realized has only one nut and it doesnt look to be too great since it seems the shock is getting lower.

now does it matter if i just get two nuts from the hardware store and put them on? anyone know what size the nuts are(thread pitch)...also for me to swap out that one nut for the other two, can i just take it off how it is, or will that mess up the suspension and cause the entire shock to go down where i have to get a spring compressor and do it all over again?

just take one of the other nut's with you and bye the correct ones then comeback and take the 1 that needs replacing and exchange nothing will happen also the big washer is upsidedown the edge with the ring goes up.

one is a nylock and the other is double nutted. Both ways are viable in that application. The only reason to 'fix' it would be for appearance. DO fix the washers and maybe check the rest of the install for other assembly problems.
to take off the nuts, do i use a 14mm wrench to turn the nuts and a 8mm(guessing) wrench to hold the shock from turning? or is there an easier way?

i guess an allen wrenh and an open end are your only choices then. i would invest in a lot of tools if i were you, ive probably spent way too much on all mine but i normally dont have to ghetto-tool things anymore.
