Surging while engaging clutch in 1st gear or reverse....
OK, I'm posting this up for a friend since I couldn't really diagnose it:
The motor (stock GSR) runs strong and idles fine. As soon as you try to start moving in first gear from a stand still, it starts to surge. The best I can explain this feeling is like having a bad motor mount and the car vibrates like hell, but in a calmer fashion. He's recently replaced all the plugs, fuel filter, and dizzy.
I'm thinking it might be a bad clutch or maybe the flywheel needs resurfacing.... what are your thoughts? It shouldn't be his motor mounts since at idle it doesn't shake.

if in your opinion it isnt anything with the engine, i would lean towards the clutch..probably has the original clutch in there..
