Surging Idle
I have a B16 in my CRX and once it gets warmed up the idle starts to surge up and down from 700 to 1200 rpms. I have a AEBS intake manifold. I dont know what is cuasing this, I dont think it is a vacume leak becuase it doesnt do it until its warmed up. I thought it might be the FITV but I took the intake off and plugged the hole in the TB and it didnt stop. I dont know what else it could be. Any ideas?
Have you set your base idle?
What I did was spray carb cleaner around the intake mani gasket, tb gasket and fitv gasket/block off (mine is blocked off too) to see if there were any changes to the RPM. Mine ended up being the intake mani gasket.

When I unplugged the eavc the surging stoppped, but the idle was still high, i tried adjusting the screw and its all the way in and still idles at 1200 with the eavc unplugged. Does that mean the eavc is bad? I took it off nd clean the gasket and it still does it. should I try to spray it out with carb cleaner?

The EACV is like the IACV on my car, with it unplugged, your idle should DROP. Especially with the idle screw on the trottle body all the way in, I'm pretty damn sure you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Mine was doing the same thing with an intake manifold gasket leak.
Turn your car on and spare carb cleaner around the gasket areas and see if your idle changes... if it does, you know it's leaking.
