Default stroker theories?

could you theoretically take a b16, resleeve and bore to 86mm, then use an LS crank, aftermarket pistons, and LS rods, with a b16 head on it, and it all work.? may be dumb, but im curious. lemme know what u think. (at least can someone flame me if im totally out of line?)

You would have to increase the deck height to make those parts work right.
Otherwise you will need custom rods and pistons and suffer from incredibly bad
internal geometry

You could use a machined spacer that is sandwiched between the block and the head. Some domestics people have been doing it for a while. The *only* benefit of this is if you lived in a smog-**** place like Cali and you wanted something that BAR workers probably wouldn't catch - they'd just go, "Ok, a b16a, everything checks fine." If this isn't essential, then it is cheaper, more reliable and stronger to buy a cheap LS bare block and use the same buildup techniques. That's why nobody (as far as we know) has done it.

some company down in san diego had a spacer on a b18 to make 2.? so to be able to get the correct rod stroke ratio. it was in sports compact car magazine. mucho dinero
