how large can i bore out a GSR without having to sleeve it??

id say 82mm for NA or 81.5mm for boost. If u want to go all motor BUT dont want to sleeve a block just get a B20 block. 84mm with some 12:1 - 13:1 pistons would a nice setup

It's not smart to take it past OEM oversize anyway you look at it, but I've seen many good running cars with 82mm bores on the stock sleeves. If it were my engine, I'd run no more than 82mm and then cryo-treat the block just to be on the safe side.
